New homeowner enjoys new lease on life

A new house is a pretty great Mother's Day gift for anyone. It means more to Katherine Leonard than it would to most.

When Leonard heard the news May 8 that the Athens Area Habitat for Humanity offered to build her a house, she knew she was nearing the end of a two-year journey that is about to take her from homeless to homeowner.
