This food ministry helps hundreds of people get basic food supplies to help them and their families through the month. By this ministry, we also show them, through our service, Christian hospitality and love and welcome them to our church. The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia delivers 10,000 pounds of food to our parking lot and volunteers help to distribute this food to the needy. We typically help 230 - 280 households per month, which represents approximately 625 people. Volunteers are needed to help with set up at 8:30 am. The distribution begins around 9:30 am and volunteers of all ages are welcome to help with the distribution (children should stay with their parent(s) at all times). Distribution is usually finished around 11 am. Mobile Food Pantry dates for 2009 are DATE CHANGE: MAY 30!, June 27, July 25, August 22, September 19, October 24, November 21, December 19.
